6.1L HEMI Down-draft Manifold!

This new down-draft intake manifold , designed by Applied Kinetics for one of our clients, is the ticket!  It is suitable for both carburated electronic fuel injection installations.  It is a direct bolt-on for the 6.1L HEMI, and fits with traditional Shaker hoods and other hood-scoops common in classic Chryslers.

The design was complex, optimizing performance, airflow, packaging, and weight.  Prototypes were manufactured using Rapid Prototyping technologies, while the production manifolds are cast from aluminum, with CNC machining of the critical features.  Standard HEMI injectors, or high-flow racing injectors are accommodated via a clever injector port design.

 Applied Kinetics designed the manifold to meet the client's exacting requirements.  The prototype was tested on a flow-bench, and was found to have less than 4% flow difference between runners, well within the client's specifications.  This manifold design was also performance validated on an engine dyno.

Applied Kinetics is currently designing other exciting HEMI manifolds, including a twin-screw super-charged manifold, so watch this space for further updates as these projects progress!
